Love Beyond Service

Christmas & Red Kettle Volunteers Needed

Join us in spreading holiday cheer and making a difference this Christmas season! The Salvation Army of Central Maryland invites you to volunteer and become a part of our cherished tradition: ringing the bell. By giving just a few hours of your time, you can help us raise vital funds that support those in need during this festive time of year. Whether you're an individual, a group, or a family looking to give back, your contribution matters. To become a bell ringer and share the warmth of the season, please contact Captain Laura Tidman at [email protected]. Let's ring in the joy of giving together!

THE SALVATION ARMY COULD NOT CONTINUE TO FUNCTION WITHOUT THE HELP OF OUR COMMITTED TEAM OF VOLUNTEERS.

Our volunteer opportunities provide more than a chance to give back to the community. Whether it's serving a meal, packaging food boxes, sorting through Christmas donations or mentoring a community member, these are acts of love beyond service.

Volunteering breaks barriers that keep us from meeting human needs.

Pantry-On-The-Go

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)

CFSP aims to improve the health and wellness of low-income residents, who are 60 years of age and above, by supplementing their diets with nutritious vegetables, fruits, grains, and meats from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Our seniors who are running on a tight income, less family support, and nutrition issues need your help. Help fight food scarcity today by packing a box full of hope.

You can help pack food boxes that will be delivered to Baltimore City/County senior citizens every:

Saturday from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

We can accommodate groups on other dates

Even if you can only come in for just an hour or for the entire duration, you pick what time works for you. Every minute helps our seniors get closer to a well-balanced meal.

Our warehouse is located at 400 East 29th St, Baltimore MD 21218. We provide volunteers with a free, ample, parking lot; a facility that is handicap accessible, and opportunities to make lifelong friends.

If you have any questions or accommodation help please contact Samantha Bowman

Volunteers interested in volunteering for our CSFP program must e-mail our Volunteer Coordinator Samantha Bowman at [email protected]

FeedMore Mobile Canteen Program

In Response to the hunger and survival needs of the street homeless population in Baltimore, The Salvation Army of Central Maryland created the FeedMore program. Emergency mobile canteens provide hot meals, clothing, blankets, and toiletries to Baltimore City's homeless and destitute men, women, and children six nights a week.

The Salvation Army needs volunteers to help us make meals, drive the canteen, and assist our street homeless on select days. E-mail Captain Matthew Tidman at [email protected] to register for this volunteer opportunity.
