At present, this month's Rental Assistance funding for Baltimore City has been depleted.
We are currently waiting to hear back about rental assistance funding for Baltimore county in June 2023.

Rental Assistance:

* Services will only cover for the current month’s rent. If you owe for more than one month, you must satisfy those months BEFORE applying with us

RENTAL ASSISTANCE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

  • Court Notice or Letter on Stationary from the Rental Company breaking down what the tenant owes for the current month
  • Proof of income
  • Lease and Photo ID
  • Rental Ledger (Obtained from Landlord or Management Office)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What if I owe for more than a month and I do not have the funds to cover those months?
    • The past months need to be paid before we can assist. Please contact your local Department of Social Service https://mydhrbenefits.dhr.state.md.us/dashboardClient/#/dssMap to get other resources or call 211 for additional resources.

 

  • What if I have no monthly income?
    • For your proof of income, you can provide copy of SSI, SNAP Benefits, Temporary Cash Assistance, Child Support or Medicare.

 

  • I’ve already been evicted and am in need of shelter.
    • If you’ve already been evicted, you do not qualify for rental assistance. Please call 211 to learn about available shelters near you.

 

  • How often can I receive rental assistance?
    • No more than once per year.
