Welcome Captain Charlene Cover to Temple Corps
In June 2023, The Salvation Army of Central Maryland warmly welcomes Captain Charlene Cover into her newly minted position with our Temple Corps, located in West Baltimore.
Captain Charlene Cover dedicated her life to ministry since a young age and has previously served in Parkersburg, WV, Hagerstown, MD, and New River Valley.
She was born and raised in Port Antonio, Portland, a small town in Jamaica. Captain Cover studied at Case Community College, from where she earned a diploma in Early Childhood, and earned a Bachelors degree from Trevecca Universe in Christian Ministry.
Before becoming a Salvation Army Officer, she was involved in various ministerial endeavors; That has prepared her for leadership and to embrace lost souls and minister to the whole individual, regardless of challenges or limitations.
Captain Cover’s passion is to "preach the gospel and meet human needs without discrimination." Her life phase is "Love in action." my ultimate desire is to see people fully embrace God's love.
Temple Corps is eager to have Captain Cover lead, embrace lost souls, and guide people into Christ’s love.
